Bruce Claflin

3Com is a global leader in the development and installation of IP based network solutions for enterprises large and small.
Bruce joined 3Com as president and chief operation officer in August 1998, was named president and chief executive officer January 2001, and retired in February 2006. Before joining 3Com, he served as executive vice president and general manager, sales and marketing for Digital Equipment Corporation. Prior to being named to that post in 1997, he was president and general manager of Digital’s personal computer business unit. Bruce joined Digital from IBM where he had worked for twenty-two years.
Bruce serves on the boards of directors for AMD Corporation and Ciena Corporation.
Together with his wife Kerry, Bruce has endowed the Bruce and Karen Claflin Scholarship in Liberal Arts and the Claflin Family Graduate Fund in the College of the Liberal Arts.

Forrest (Rusty) Crawford

After a 32 year career with USX and 30 years in the U. S. Naval Reserve, Forrest has recently settled in Gainesville, Florida. On October 20, 2007, Forrest married Sally Foote and they look forward to many happy, healthy years at Oak Hammock at the University of Florida, a continuing care retirement community affiliated with the University of Florida.
Forrest holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

Jeffrey Hiller

Prior to joining Principal Global Investors, Jeffrey was the chief compliance officer of BlackRock Funds. In that role, he was responsible for the "hands on" administering and operating compliance programs. Prior to the takeover of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers by BlackRock, he was the chief compliance officer of all Merrill Lynch registered investment companies and registered investment advisors. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, he served as Managing Director and Global Director of Compliance for major global asset management companies headquartered in New York.
Jeffrey served as Senior Counsel in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement in Washington, DC, from 1991 to 1995.
Jeffrey is the co-author of an article entitled, "The Salomon Case and the Supervisory Responsibilities of Lawyers and Compliance Personnel" (Insights, May 1993), and co-author of a book entitled, Legal Agreements in Plain English (Contemporary Books, Chicago, IL). Also, he is creator, writer and executive producer of Dr. Heimlich’s First Aid Video (MCA/Universal Home Video) and In Stitches: Stand-Up Comics on the Horizon (Active Home Video). Mr. Hiller is the recipient of the VIRA Award for best “How to Video” for his work on Dr. Heimlich’s First Aid Video.

Andrew has advised numerous large organizations across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, financial services, consumer business, hospitality, pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals and healthcare. Some of his notable consulting assignments have included developing standardized finance and accounting.
Prior to joining A&M, Andrew was a senior manager in the Strategy and Operations practice at Deloitte Consulting. Previously, he served as a manager in the Financial Business Solutions practice of Andersen Business Consulting.

He has experience dealing with legal and business issues confronting companies of various sizes and stages of development in a number of industries, including life sciences, technology, equipment manufacturing and water services. He has managed a range of major transactions for these entities, including acquisitions, dispositions, licensing arrangements, private placements and strategic alliances.
After getting his MBA, and before attending law school, Solomon worked for IBM for seven years, primarily in sales. Prior to coming to Pepper Hamilton LLP, he was with Dechert, an international law firm with a wide variety of practice areas and thirteen offices in the U.S., the U.K., and continental Europe.

Richard (Dick) Lippin

Dick began his career in the public relations industry with Harshe-Rotman & Druck in New York. He specializes in entertainment (television, music, film, video, licensing and merchandising), new media, and investor relations.
Together with his late wife, Ronnie, he has endowed the Richard B. Lippin Lectureship in Ethics. Dick has also established two foundations in Ronnie’s name, The Ronnie Lippin Cancer Research Fellowships and The Ronnie Lippin Cancer Outreach Program at Tower Cancer Research Foundation.

Before Jim joined Blue Point in 1991, he held various positions with Citicorp in the Leveraged Capital, Investment Banking and Venture Capital Groups. He is a board member of Entrepreneurship Preparatory Academy, a charter school based in Cleveland; President of the Cleveland Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, an international organization of financial and M&A executives; a board member of the Cleveland Chapter of the Society of Marketing Executives, a national organization of marketing executives, and a mentor for Civic Innovation Lab, an organization devoted to helping start up new not-for-profit businesses in the Cleveland area.

William R. (Bill) McLucas

Bill is co-chair of the firm's Securities Practice Group. His practice focuses on securities enforcement, regulation and litigation matters. Recently he led the internal inquiry on behalf of the boards of both Enron Corporation and WorldCom, Inc. Prior to joining the firm; he worked for the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement and served as Director of Enforcement for eight years. He led numerous high-profile investigations and landmark enforcement actions, including the settlement of the SEC’s cases against Michael Milken and the Salomon Brothers government bond trading case.

Douglas (Doug) Rock

Smith International supplies products and services to the oil and gas exploration and production industry, the petrochemical industry, and other industrial markets. Doug has been with Smith International since 1974. Before becoming president in 1987, he served as president of the Smith Tool and the Drilco divisions as well as vice president in charge of research and engineering and of manufacturing at Smith Tool. He was named chief executive officer in 1989 and chairman of the board in 1991.
Together with his wife Julie, he has endowed the Rock Ethics Institute.

Julie Rock

Julie began her career at Smith International, Inc., a supplier of products and services to the oil and gas exploration and production industry, the petrochemical industry, and other industrial markets. Starting in the Human Resources Department in 1989, Julie held various positions including Corporate Training and Development Manager. She also was coordinator for the Junior Achievement Education program at Smith International. After leaving Smith in 1999, she worked as a consultant for Impact Training, a management training company. Julie is a member of Faith Community Church in The Woodlands, Texas and assists the church staff in various capacities.

Charles (Chick) Rolling

AP&C is the world’s only combined gases and chemicals company and provides industrial gases and related equipment and services, and selected chemicals, to the manufacturing, process, and service industries in over thirty countries. Chick oversaw mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, new ventures, and other corporate development initiatives. He worked for the company for twenty-nine years.
He retired in 1994 and lives in Helena, MT where he as actively involved with the Lewis and Clark County United Way and the local chapter of S.C.O.R.E.
Together with his wife Joan, he has endowed the Charles Rolling Scholarship in Engineering, the Mary Rolling Lectureship in Creative Writing, and the Rolling Program Fund in Engineering and Ethics.

Joan Rolling
Public and parochial elementary school teacher (retired).
Joan is a native of Montana and after thirty years in the suburban Philadelphia, PA area retired in 1994 to Helena. She continues her involvement in education as a reading tutor for elementary school students.
Together with her husband, Chick, she has endowed the Charles Rolling Scholarship in Engineering, the Mary Rolling Lectureship in Creative Writing, and the Rolling Program Fund in Engineering and Ethics.

Douglas (Doug) Sherwin
Phillips Petroleum (retired)
Doug began his career with Riley Tar Chemical Company and moved onto Phillips Petroleum before leaving to attend St. Catherine’s College at Oxford. During his time at Oxford, Doug volunteered for the Berlin Airlift and served under General Clay. He returned to Oxford, and then to Phillips until his retirement as President of a Phillips division in 1983. Upon his retirement, he purchased the division and sold it five years later.
Doug has written a book on professional leadership and is now working on the third revision. He has also been published five times in the Harvard Business Review with articles on ethics. In his retirement, Doug enjoys golf and swimming and does both three times a week.
Doug and his wife, Joyce, have been very supportive of Penn State through their generosity to Athletics, Eberly College of Science, and the English department within the College of the Liberal Arts, where they established the Eddie Nichols* Award for Creative Writing in 1990. In the fall of 2007, Doug and Joyce also endowed two early-career professorships in the Rock Ethics Institute and one full professorship within the College of the Liberal Arts.
* Eddie Nichols was an author and professor who had used Doug as a character in one of his books.
