Theme Statement: Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race examines how the Nazi regime, with the collaboration of medical professionals, used the pseudo-science of eugenics to legitimize persecution and genocide. The exhibition fosters examination of how societies acquire and use scientific knowledge to balance the rights of the individual and the needs of the larger community.
This traveling exhibition is organized and circulated by the United Holocaust Memorial Museum. It has been made possible by The Lerner Foundation and Eric F. and Lore Ross. At Penn State, the exhibition is co-sponsored by the Office of the President, the Rock Ethics Institute, the College of Medicine, the College of the Liberal Arts, the Science, Technology, and Society Program, the Jewish Studies Program,and the HUB–Robeson Galleries.
