Ofelia Schutte is the author of Beyond Nihilism: Nietzsche without Masks and Cultural Identity and Social Liberation in Latin American Thoughtas well as many other publications on feminism, Latin American philosophy, Nietzsche, and European continental philosophy. A former Fulbright Research scholar to Mexico, her current interests include feminist philosophy in Latin America, recent fiction by Cuban women writers, and postcolonial theory and feminisms with a focus on Latin America.

Feminist Philosophy in South America

This paper focuses on significant contributions to feminist philosophy since the late 1980s primarily in Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile.
