ABC 7's "Good Morning Washington" featured Penn State graduate and StandUp honoree Julian Haas on October 16 as part of their Motivational Monday segment. Haas, a graduate of the Penn State College of Liberal Arts, is also a Rock Ethics Institute StandUp Award honoree. He received the award because of his pursuit of social justice as an advocate, ally, activist, and educator. Haas founded Penn State's first fraternity for gay, bisexual, and progressive men, as well as helped plan an LGBTQA-focused on-campus living community.

Today, Haas works as the assistant director of Georgetown's LGBTQ Resource Center. He continues to inspire others to stand up for their own beliefs by talking about ways to become an everyday game changer. During Monday's interview Haas told the audience, "Think about your body as an agent of good will."
