Moral Agency Group
We invite faculty and graduate students in psychology and philosophy to attend the inaugural meeting of the Moral Agency Group (MAG). The MAG will meet every two-three weeks over coffee to discuss readings related to the topic of moral agency: why and how do people behave in moral and ethical ways? We will discuss psychological foundations for the development and sustenance of moral agency, and philosophical conditions for moral agency and responsibility. Each semester, we will explore a particular focused question within the study of moral agency. This group is designed to encourage active interdisciplinary discussion, and will be organized by Michael Burroughs and Daryl Cameron from the Rock Ethics Institute. If you’re interested in joining the MAG, please contact us. An initial meeting schedule will be determined once we have a participant list in place.
