Ethics and Education
The Ethics and Education Interest Group began in the 2014 Fall Semester and is currently inactive. The group was directed by Dr. Michael D. Burroughs (Acting Associate Director, Rock Ethics Institute). The group is dedicated to creating an interdisciplinary community for those interested in discussing and researching issues at the intersection of ethics and education. The group is open to all faculty and students in the Penn State community (and beyond). Although not exhaustive, areas of interest for the group include (1) ethics, education, and marginalized populations, (2) ethics and educational policy, (3) pedagogy and interpersonal ethics in the classroom, (4) moral development and models of ethics education, (5) and ethical leadership and the ethical implementation of educational programming.
