Biography:

Heather Bupp (’87, Political Science) is the ethics director and counsel to the Board of Ethics for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  Heather received her Juris Doctorate from Washington College of Law at American University and has held various counsel/leadership positions since graduating from Penn State, including tenures with the U.S. Department of Labor, the Rockville Scholarship Foundation, the Upper Montgomery Assistance Network, the District of Columbia Bar, and as a private practitioner. In 2009 Heather was chosen to be a Fellow of the National Institute for Teaching Ethics and Professionalism in Atlanta, Georgia.

Heather has also been an adjunct professor of legal ethics and professional responsibility at universities including Georgetown and Emory, and law schools including Washington College of Law at American and at the University of the District of Columbia.  She currently resides in North Potomac, Maryland.
