Stephanie Jenkins is a dual-Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy and Women's Studies. Her research and teaching interests include 20th Century Continental Philosophy, Feminist Philosophy, Disability Theory, and ethics. She received her Master's degree in Philosophy from the Pennsylvania State University in 2007 and is a recipient of the Weiss Fellowship, a Penn State scholarship awarded to students who excel in interdisciplinary work in the humanities and sciences. She is currently completing her dissertation, "Disabling Ethics: A Genealogy of Ability." The dissertation argues for a new genealogy-based ethics that departs from traditional bioethical approaches to disability.
