Petra Tschakert, Penn State
Dr. Tschakert's research examines the intersection of marginalization, social and environmental justice, and climate change adaptation among resource-poor rural populations in Africa (currently Ghana and Tanzania). She is primarily interested in creating spaces for collective learning between researchers, research partners and participants, and policy makers to grapple with climate uncertainty and enhance adaptive capacity among vulnerable populations. The ultimate goal is to better prepare for and adapt to current and future climatic changes.
