Moral Agency Workshop
Paul Conway will be a special guest for this Moral Agency Workshop, prior to his Expanding Empathy lecture, Marrying Deontology and Utilitarianism with Virtue Ethics
The Moral Agency Workshop is an interdisciplinary ethics working group out of the Rock Ethics Institute. The workshop is a major part of the Moral Agency and Moral Development Initiative, which Daryl Cameron convenes as one of the Rock faculty members. The group brings together faculty and graduate students from a diverse range of disciplines (including but not limited to psychology, sociology, anthropology, media studies, philosophy, political science, linguistics, etc.) to both discuss readings and also workshop in-progress projects that would benefit from constructive interdisciplinary feedback. In past years, we’ve had a mix of faculty and grad student presenters from different departments and different universities (when we’ve integrated the workshop with the Expanding Empathy speaker series visitors).
