Chauncey Stillman Professor of Practical Ethics at Duke University, Walter Sinnott-Armstrong gave a keynote lecture as part of the Moral Agency Research Group Conference on Thursday, October 5 in Foster Auditorium in Paterno Library.

Chauncey Stillman Professor of Practical Ethics at Duke University, Walter Sinnott-Armstrong gave a keynote lecture as part of the Moral Agency Research Group Conference on Thursday, October 5 in Foster Auditorium in Paterno Library. 

Sinnott-Armstrong was joined by Alan R. Wagner, assistant professor of aerospace engineering and research associate in the Rock Ethics Institute; and C. Daryl Cameron, assistant professor of psychology and research associate in the Rock Ethics Institute. 

Applications for artificial intelligence, which applications are immoral, and the possibility to build morality into artificial intelligence were discussed during the event. The lecture also included questions from the live audience and on social media. 

One-hundred and forty students, faculty members, and community members attended the public lecture, which was streamed live and can be now be viewed online
