Connie Flanagan is a professor of youth civic development in the Department of Agricultural and Extension Education at Penn State where she co-directs the inter-college minor in Civic and Community Engagement. She has published widely on the developmental correlates of youths’ political theories and civic behaviors. Flanagan is a William T. Grant Scholar, a member of the MacArthur Network on Transition to Adulthood, and a fellow in Division 9 of the American Psychological Association. She serves on the editorial boards of four journals and is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Research on Adolescence.
