Biography

David Sollenberger is an assistant teaching professor in philosophy and received his Ph.D. in political theory from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. His work focuses on the history of American political thought, particularly the legacies of Transcendentalism and Romanticism. He has published on the relationship between the American poet Walt Whitman and German Idealism and is currently working on a book on Whitman as a liberal political thinker. David teaches courses in ethics, bioethics, political and social philosophy, American philosophy, critical thinking, and philosophy of law
