Fellowships and Awards
The Rock Ethics Institute funds a variety of positions and initiatives. Our current funding opportunities are:
Stand Up Awards
The annual Stand Up Awards recognize Penn State undergraduate students who have demonstrated ethical leadership by "standing up" for a cause, idea, or belief.
Doctoral Fellowship Awards
Humanities graduate students working on ethics-related topics can become Rock Ethics Institute Fellows through the Humanities Dissertation Release program or the Crawford Fellowship program.
Rock Ethics Undergraduate Fellows
Paterno Fellows are eligible to apply for an REI fellowship. REI fellows receive $1,000 in fellowship support and assist Institute faculty on interdisciplinary ethics projects.
Paterno Fellows Thesis and Research Awards
The Rock Ethics Institute provides financial support for Paterno Fellows working on ethics-related topics and research within or in preparation for their honors thesis.
