Lonely Together

A One-Act Play Written and Directed by Melody Munitz

When their plane has to make an emergency landing in the middle of Ohio due to a massive blizzard, strangers Sophie and Layla find themselves stuck together. As the two young women ride out the storm in a shoddy motel and negotiate the nuances of vulnerability, they uncover a surprising connection.

Showtimes are December 10 and 11 at 7:30 p.m., and December 12 at 2:00 p.m. The play is free to the public, but does require advance registration.

Melody Munitz, fourth-year student double-majoring in Musical Theatre and Psychology, and currently conducting an interdisciplinary thesis for the Schreyer Honors College between the School of Theatre and the Department of Psychology, is producing and directing an original one-act play called Lonely Together, and conducting accompanying research under the mentorship of Dr. Daryl Cameron, Senior Research Associate in the Rock Ethics Institute and Associate Professor of Psychology, in the Empathy and Moral Psychology Lab.
