Democracy Works interviews Virginia Eubanks, author of Automating Inequality

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Virginia Eubanks, who will deliver the Rock Ethics Institute’s 2020 Richard B. Lippin Lecture in Ethics on October 1, examines the relationship between technology and society in her book Automating Inequality: How High-Tech tools Profile, Police, and Punish the Poor.

In anticipation of the lecture, Penn State’s McCourtney Institute for Democracy interviewed Eubanks for its podcast, Democracy Works.
