REI Thesis and Research Fellow Siena Baker wins outstanding thesis award

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Rock Ethics Institute Thesis and Research Fellow Siena Baker recently won first place in the the Penn State Libraries and Schreyer Honors College’s Robert F. Guentter Jr. Outstanding Undergraduate Thesis Award.

Baker won the award for her thesis “The Political Economy of Cellular Agriculture: Delineating Tension Points in the Development of Cultivated Meat Products,” which Rob Chiles of the Rock Ethics Institute helped supervise. Baker graduated from Penn State this spring with majors in Community, Environment and Development and Economics.
