Biography

Julie Rock began her career at Smith International, Inc., a global provider of oil and natural gas exploration and development products and services. She held various positions, including corporate training and development manager, and coordinated the company’s Junior Achievement education program.

After leaving Smith in 1999, she worked as a consultant for Impact Training, a management training company. A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, Julie is an active member of Faith Community Church in The Woodlands, Texas.

She and her husband, Doug, endowed the Rock Ethics Institute, its directorship, and the dean’s chair in the College of the Liberal Arts. They have also supported the Moore Building project for the Department of Psychology.
