Biography
Ricky is interested in how people have different perceptions of what is ethical, and how those differing perceptions can lead to positive and negative outcomes. Over the past decade, Ricky has examined differing ethical perceptions in many contexts, including tensions between Hmong entrepreneurs and their siblings in Southeast Asia, differences between government policymakers and citizens affected by their policies, and disconnects between front-line employees and their managers in businesses.
He is currently interested in how differing ethical perceptions in a workgroup can help and harm innovation and how attempts to increase transparency may have unintended ethical consequences. When not studying ethical perceptions, Ricky enjoys hiking, biking, and baking sourdough bread with friends, spouse, and three kids.
