Biography

William "Bill" McLucas is a partner at WilmerHale, where he chairs the firm's securities department. His practice focuses on securities enforcement, regulation, and litigation, as well as regulatory and government affairs. Before joining WilmerHale, McLucas served as director of enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for more than eight years -- the longest tenure of any enforcement division director in SEC history. He led numerous high-profile investigations and landmark enforcement actions involving insider trading, public companies, and accounting firms. Penn State recognized McLucas as an Alumni Fellow in 1994 and a Distinguished Alumnus in 1996. He established the William R. McLucas Scholarship Fund in the College of the Liberal Arts and the McLucas Family Director's Fund in the Career Enrichment Network.
